Manhattan Justice Opportunities provides community-based diversion and sentencing options to reduce the use of incarceration and criminal convictions for people charged with both low-level offenses and felonies. Our social workers and case managers strive to make each case an opportunity to positively alter the direction of a person’s life, connecting participants with social services to address the underlying issues that often fuel involvement with the justice system.
The Quinnipiac Dispute Resolution Workshop, sponsored by the center, brings distinguished scholars to both campuses to engage students, practitioners and professors in lively discussions about important issues in the field. Furthermore, Quinnipiac’s Dispute Resolution program was ranked 15th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2023 Best Graduate School rankings.
The center's 40-hour mediation training course provides a comprehensive introduction to mediation and conflict management. It also recently expanded its offerings with the addition of a negotiation training course.
